MONROE MOCCASINS ANNOUNCE TEMPORARY ROSTER DECISION AS IMMIGRATION PROCESS CONTINUES

This was not an easy decision, as our Canadian players are valued members of the Moccasins family. However, we believe it is important to do what is best for our players, both personally and professionally. Rather than have them sit on the sidelines waiting for the process to be completed, we want to provide them with the opportunity to continue playing hockey and pursue opportunities with other teams in the meantime.

Our commitment to our players remains unwavering, and we will continue to support them as we work through this process together.  At the same time, the Monroe Moccasins remain committed to putting a winning, championship-caliber team on the ice every week. We believe this decision gives our organization the best opportunity to maintain that commitment to our fans, while also giving our Canadian players the best opportunity to continue their seasons and develop their careers during this temporary league-wide immigration waiting period.

"Our goal has always been to build a winning organization that the city of Monroe can be proud of," said Nic Perkin, Owner of the Monroe Moccasins. "While this presents an unexpected challenge, our focus remains on the season ahead. We have confidence in our players and coaching staff, and we will continue working to put the best possible team on the ice. We are excited about what we're building here in Monroe and appreciate the continued support of our fans and community.

We remain confident that the immigration process will be finalized for the FPHL and look forward to welcoming our players back to Monroe.

We appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued support of our fans, sponsors, and community for the players and the Moccasins. Our focus remains on building a team that our city can be proud of, competing for a championship, and doing right by the players who wear the Moccasins jersey.
